thejon2014 that is. I do believe that I've learned more at theliuidfire wordpress than any other single place. While that might be != true, most of what I've learned elsewhere wouldn't be understood nearly as well without it. I've had so many questions that I didn't ask because I didn't want to fill the blog with questions that weren't exactly on topic or that had probably already been addressed if I looked the right way. I also didn't want to take up more of your time after all of the time you've already put in. I mentioned my fall into development and you replied that you too were self taught but I think I'm more self learned and you're my favorite teacher. Pardon the praise but You should know that what you have been sharing is much appreciated. I haven't been keeping up with the new posts because I've been quite busy and I'm still learning tons from the parts I've already studied(over and over). When I first found theliquidfire it was so far above my head that I was mystified but I kept coming across it and eventually realized the value. I've just finished a very robust and extendable item/inventory system with shop, several currencies, item categories, ect that would still be an idea if it weren't for concepts learned here. It's far different than how most of TacticsRPG is set up, as is most of the game, but you helped me find the ability to make decisions rather than "just make it work".
Anyway, what I was getting at was, I think I recall you saying something about needing assets for prototyping? Something about a goblin I think? I would be happy to supply whatever I can. I'm no veteran game artist but I am a veteran artist and I bet I could get you some decent prototype art if you still need. It's the only way I can think to show my appreciation and maybe repay you in some way. Just let me know.
