Hello I was wondering if you have any recommendations on asset bundling or patching for multiplatform apps?
for instance bundling the sprites/scripts/prefabs/etc to update when a version changes - i know there are assets in the store but are windows/mac/linux compatable. I also know there is asset bundles but from what ive read up on - its not very good right now and has limitations for unpacking scripts and some other types of files or something
thanks! legend

Unfortunately, not really. Most of the projects I have published have already included all the assets needed in the binary. I did use asset bundles once, but not in the form of a patch. I didn't like the asset bundle approach personally. I cant remember all the issues I had with it, and maybe some or all of them have been fixed by now. My biggest issue with them at the time was that you had to recreate them when upgrading versions of Unity. Still, it has potential and could be pretty nice.

Ya i actually just found this forum after searching through countless tutorials of stating to use assetbundles and such...basically the forum states assetbundle manager is going to be deprecated and replaced by resource manager and addressables or something - forum post from april of this year. forum.unity.com/threads/assetbundle-manager-deprecated.528334/soooo sounds like ... going to have to wait on this anyways or customize something to the extreme
