Hello! Really liking the series so far!
I am trying to make a "slay the spire" clone in Unity. Slay the spire is a rogue-like turn-based strategy game with deck-building card mechanics. Every card in the game is like a spell card in Hearthstone. I have followed the series up until the action system. But I think it might be a bit of an overkill for what I am trying to achieve. What do you think?

Hey, glad you like it, thanks I've not played "Slay the Spire" before, so I can't really say for sure. I at least checked out some videos of it - looks pretty fun. The action system was designed specifically around making a Hearthstone clone, so it may not make sense for other games - none of my other tutorial projects use it. Still, from what I saw, "Slay the Spire" looks like it will have a lot in common, so I don't personally think that the action system will be overkill for you. If you suspect that you will ever need the ability to make an action as a reaction to an action, or an action that has an exception that might modify or cancel the action, then I think what I've set up will be helpful. Of course, in the end it is all up to you, and if you struggle to understand the complexity of the action system you may not enjoy working with it. If you end up trying to create your own action system you will undoubtedly learn a lot, and in some cases you might go, "ah ha - that's why he did it", or maybe even "that was dumb, my way is sooo much better" and either way would be good for you. Either way, if you get stuck, I'll try to help. Good luck!
